Expanding Advocacy Across NJ to Advance Disability Employment and Inclusion
JERSEY CITY, NJ – Spectrum Care Management & Counseling (Spectrum CMC), a statewide leader serving thousands of families across New Jersey, is launching a new visibility and advocacy initiative this month to amplify voices within the community they serve and highlight the achievements of adults with autism and developmental disabilities.
Timed with National Disability Employment Awareness Month and National Down Syndrome Awareness Month, the effort underscores Spectrum’s mission to strengthen understanding, inclusion, and opportunity across the state.
“Spectrum Care is proud to lead a message of empowerment and progress during a time when the national conversation around autism and developmental disabilities continues to evolve,” said Benni Versaci, Founder of Spectrum Care Management & Counseling. “We want the public to hear directly from the families and adults who are succeeding, not through speculation or stigma, but through real, daily progress supported by compassion, structure, and access.”
Through these channels, Spectrum aims to spotlight success stories, promote inclusive hiring practices, and encourage meaningful policy discussion on employment, Medicaid access, and adult independence.
For Spectrum families, this visibility effort marks more than a communications push; it’s a continued movement to reframe how the public perceives adults with developmental disabilities. The organization will share client milestones, advocate for employer partnerships, and highlight how accessible support can change lives.
